Terms and Conditions
Thank you for visiting the Alpine Buses website. This website is provided subject to the following terms and conditions – by visiting our site you are deemed to have accepted them.
Booking with Alpine Buses
Alpine Buses is a trading name of QUICK RIDE, LDA, VAT No. PT517775085 (hereinafter referred to as “Alpine Buses”, “the Company”, “we” or “us”).
Alpine Buses provides passenger transport services directly and may also use carefully selected third-party transport providers, contractors or subcontractors to perform all or part of a booked service.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with Alpine Buses, regardless of how the booking is made. By making a booking, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
The Terms and Conditions applicable to a booking are those in effect at the time the booking is confirmed.
Customer Orders
The customer must be at least 18 years old to make a booking.
The Company reserves the right to decline a booking. If a booking has already been paid for and is subsequently declined by the Company, the customer will receive a full refund.
A booking is considered confirmed once the customer receives a booking confirmation by email.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all information provided during the booking process, including passenger numbers, luggage, flight details, pick-up and destination details, is complete and accurate.
Luggage
Each passenger is allowed to carry two pieces of luggage (one suitcase or bag of standard size up to 23 kg and one piece of hand luggage) and one pack with skis, a snowboard (maximum length 190 cm), or a bicycle (maximum dimensions 160 cm × 80 cm × 30 cm).
For transfers with bicycles, the maximum capacity of an 8-seater vehicle is 5 passengers and 4 bicycles. For larger groups travelling with bicycles, an additional vehicle must be booked.
Skis, snowboards, bicycles, baby carriages, golf equipment, oversized luggage and other bulky items must be declared at the time of booking.
The amount of luggage that can be carried depends on the number of passengers, the type of vehicle and the size of the luggage. Declaring an item during the booking process does not override the vehicle’s maximum safe luggage capacity.
If additional or oversized luggage was not declared in advance and cannot be safely accommodated in the vehicle, the Company may refuse to transport the undeclared items. Where additional arrangements or a larger vehicle are required, additional charges may apply.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their luggage is properly packed and secured for transport.
Passengers may not consume alcoholic beverages inside our vehicles. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited.
Airport Transfers
If an inbound flight is delayed, the Company will make reasonable efforts to adjust the pick-up time accordingly. If the flight has not yet landed, the driver will continue to wait and the booking will not be treated as a no-show. The first 60 minutes of waiting are free of charge. After the first 60 minutes, waiting time may be charged at EUR 30.00 per hour on weekdays and EUR 50.00 per hour on Saturdays and Sundays.
Once the flight has landed, the customer must contact the driver or the Company within 60 minutes if they have not yet met the driver. If the customer has not appeared and no contact has been made within 60 minutes after the flight has landed, the booking may be treated as a no-show and the driver may leave. If contact has been established, the driver will continue to wait, subject to the applicable waiting charges.
For delays exceeding one hour, the Company may assign a different driver or vehicle in order to accommodate the revised arrival time.
Although the originally assigned driver or vehicle may be replaced in the event of a substantial flight delay, the Company will continue to make arrangements for the transfer while the delayed flight is still in transit.
The Company is not responsible for losses resulting from flight delays, diversions, incorrect flight information supplied by the customer, airport disruption, severe weather, road closures, traffic incidents or other circumstances outside the Company’s reasonable control.
Hotel and accommodation pick-ups:
The first 20 minutes of waiting after the scheduled pick-up time are free of charge. If the customer does not appear and does not contact the Company within the first 10 minutes, the Company will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer. If the customer has neither appeared nor contacted the Company by the end of the free 20-minute waiting period, the booking may be treated as a no-show and the driver may leave.
Children
Children of all ages count as individual passengers when determining the maximum occupancy of the vehicle.
Customers travelling with children must provide the age of each child at the time of booking and request any required child seat in advance.
Where a child seat has been requested and confirmed as part of the booking, Alpine Buses will provide an appropriate child restraint based on the information supplied by the customer.
Customers may also provide their own child seats. Where agreed in advance, the Company may store a customer’s child seat for the return journey without additional charge.
The use of child restraint systems is subject to the applicable laws and regulations of the country in which the transport service is being performed.
If the customer has not informed the Company in advance that a child requiring an appropriate restraint will be travelling, and the transfer cannot legally or safely be performed, the driver may refuse to provide the service. In such circumstances, the booking will be treated as a customer no-show and no refund will be issued.
Tolls
Unless expressly stated otherwise at the time of booking, road, bridge, tunnel and ferry tolls required for the booked journey are included in the confirmed fare.
General
Once a booking has been confirmed, the confirmed price will not be increased because of currency exchange-rate fluctuations or changes in fuel prices.
The price may be adjusted if the customer requests changes to the booking, including changes to the route, pick-up or drop-off location, date, time, number of passengers, luggage requirements or other material journey details. Additional charges may also apply where the customer causes additional waiting time in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The Company may use contractors or subcontractors to perform a booked transport service. Where a transport service is performed on behalf of Alpine Buses by a contractor or subcontractor, the customer’s booking remains subject to these Terms and Conditions unless the customer is expressly informed otherwise before the booking is confirmed.
The Company will use reasonable care and skill in providing the booked transport services. The Company will not be liable for delays, disruption or failure to perform caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, traffic incidents, road closures, airport disruption, strikes affecting third parties, acts of public authorities or other extraordinary events.
The Company will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the booking was made. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You may cancel your reservation and receive a refund of the amount paid, less a fixed, non-refundable transaction fee of €30 per booking.
Between 48 and 72 hours before the scheduled pick-up time:
You may cancel your reservation and receive a 50% refund, minus a fixed, non-refundable transaction fee of €30 per booking.

No refund will be issued.
Flexible Booking with Cancellation Protection (“Insurance”)
Cancellation before the scheduled pick-up time:
You may cancel your reservation at any time before the scheduled pick-up time, regardless of the reason, and receive a refund of the amount paid, less a fixed, non-refundable transaction fee of €30 per booking.
The Flexible Booking option does not cover:
Cancellations made after the scheduled pick-up time, no-shows, changes or cancellations requested after the transfer has started, or the €30 transaction fee, which remains non-refundable.
If an inbound flight is delayed and Alpine Buses has received timely and reliable information about the revised arrival time, the pick-up time may be adjusted accordingly. Where Alpine Buses confirms a revised pick-up time, the Flexible Booking cancellation deadline will be based on that revised pick-up time.
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the term “Insurance” is used solely as a descriptive name for the optional Flexible Booking with Cancellation Protection service offered by Alpine Buses. It does not constitute an insurance policy or a separate insurance contract and is not provided by an insurance company. The option provides the contractual cancellation rights described above.
Extraordinary Events and Force Majeure
The Company will not be liable for failure or delay in performing a transport service where such failure or delay results from circumstances outside the Company’s reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include, without limitation, severe weather, natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, volcanic activity, major road closures, strikes affecting third parties, civil unrest, war, terrorism, government restrictions, border closures, quarantine measures, epidemics or pandemics, or other comparable extraordinary events.
Where an extraordinary event prevents the booked transfer from being performed, the Company will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative arrangement, rescheduling or other appropriate solution.
Nothing in this section limits any rights that the customer may have under applicable mandatory consumer protection law.
Incorrect or Incomplete Booking Information
The customer is responsible for providing complete and accurate booking information, including the correct date, pick-up time, pick-up and drop-off locations, flight details, passenger contact details, number of passengers and luggage requirements.
If the transfer cannot be performed as booked, or additional costs arise, because the customer provided incorrect, incomplete or outdated information, the Company will not be responsible for the resulting delay, missed transfer or additional expenses. Where possible, the Company will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative arrangement, subject to availability and any applicable additional charges.
Cancellation or Changes by Alpine Buses
In the unlikely event that Alpine Buses is unable to provide a confirmed transfer, the Company will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable alternative vehicle or transport provider.
If the Company cancels a confirmed transfer and is unable to provide a reasonable alternative, the customer will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the affected transfer. This does not affect situations covered by the Extraordinary Events and Force Majeure provisions or any rights the customer may have under applicable law.
Personal Belongings and Lost Property
Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings and should ensure that all luggage and other items are removed from the vehicle at the end of the journey.
If an item is found in one of our vehicles, the Company will make reasonable efforts to identify the owner and arrange its return. Any reasonable delivery, postage or courier costs associated with returning lost property may be charged to the customer.
The Company is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Complaints and Applicable Law
If a customer wishes to make a complaint regarding a booking or transfer, the complaint should be submitted to Alpine Buses at info@alpinebuses.com together with the booking reference and relevant details. The Company will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
These Terms and Conditions and any booking made with Alpine Buses are governed by the laws applicable to QUICK RIDE, LDA, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to the customer. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits a consumer’s rights under mandatory applicable law or the right to bring a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
Pick-up Location and Meeting Point
The customer is responsible for being at the pick-up location or meeting point specified in the booking confirmation at the agreed time. If the customer is waiting at a different terminal, hotel, address or meeting point, any resulting delay may be treated as waiting time and the applicable waiting charges may apply.
If the customer is unsure of the meeting point or cannot locate the driver, the customer should contact Alpine Buses or the driver as soon as possible using the contact details provided.
Customer-selected Departure Time
Where the customer selects the pick-up time for a transfer to an airport, railway station or other time-sensitive departure, the customer is responsible for allowing sufficient travel time for normal traffic conditions, check-in, security procedures and any other requirements applicable to the onward journey.
The Company is not responsible for a missed flight, train or other onward connection where the customer selected a pick-up time that did not allow sufficient time to reach the departure point. This does not exclude responsibility for delays directly caused by the Company where such responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
Travel Documents
Passengers are responsible for carrying all passports, visas, permits and other travel documents required for their journey, including any documents required for crossing international borders. The Company is not responsible for delays, refusal of entry, additional costs or inability to complete a journey resulting from missing, invalid or insufficient travel documents.
Unable to Locate the Driver or Vehicle
If the customer cannot locate the driver or vehicle at the agreed pick-up location, the customer must contact Alpine Buses or the driver using the contact details provided before arranging alternative transport.
If Alpine Buses confirms that it is unable to provide the booked transfer, the Company will make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The Company will not normally reimburse the cost of alternative transport arranged independently by the customer without first contacting Alpine Buses, unless reimbursement is required under applicable law.
